The dry embossing is the larger Cuttlebug folder: Jules Jewells, but you could use any CB folder really, eg: Textile, Stylised Flower or Victoria (these 3 folders are all available here at Fat Cats). Or you could use the larger Cuttlebug Brocade folder which you can pre-order from Fat Cats: see this link for the details - http://www.fatcatscardcorner.com.au/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=257&products_id=1402 The sentiment was stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink. I diecut the panel with my CB and Spellbinder Oval Nesties, and popped the panel up on 1mm mounts. I punched 2 small hearts and glued them to the sentiment panel and added some very fine .008 white glitter to them just to add a little something "extra" that wasn't over-the-top. The white sheer ribbon is 25mm wide & was made in 2 separate elements and I attached the bow itself with a glue dot. Thanks for having a peek at my card! I have attached self-adhesive velcro dots so that the contents of the holder are secure when closed. These velcro dots are readily available from supermarkets and craft stores. I cut mine in half so that they fitted!! The little red square of cs at the top is to hide the ribbon end which I should have tied around the front panel before I attached it to the front - something I will do next time. Note that the back of the card holder was embossed with my Cuttlebug using the Swiss dots embossing folder and then I just used my Fiskars Threading Water punch to punch the end that folds over and secured the far LHS & RHS with double-sided tape but left the section where the Card tucks in (hope that makes sense!). See my other photo for the front view. The width of the holder is 135mm and the length is 167mm. I made folds at 70mm and 145mm. When I make another one, I will tie the ribbon around the designer paper panel BEFORE I attach it to the card front so that it hides the ribbon tails on the inside of the holder and looks much neater. I made the ribbon in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy. The sentiment is by: JustRite Stampers - A merry little Christmas set which uses their 1-5/8" stamp base, and was stamped with Versacolor Bamboo pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The scallop part of the stamp was stamped with Artnic Scarlet pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The circles were diecut with my Cuttlebug using my Circle Nestabilities and each circle was popped up on 1mm mounts. The designer paper is by Making Memories: Mistletoe. See my next photo for the inside view. Thanks for having a peek! NOTE: that if you are adding the scallop border on the inside flap that holds the card, make sure you add a little extra length because you will "punch" off about 13mm when you use the border punch. TIP: Make one out of paper first to check all your measurements and adjust where necessary. I have been waiting for an excuse to ink Ginger up! Have tried to follow thru the laceyness of her dress with the rest of the card. I Cuttlebugged a square of rusty brown-burgundy cs (it's not burgundy, but it's not rust either, so this is the only way I can describe it!) with my Textile embossing folder and attached it to a square of mustard cardstock. Using a scrap of mustard cs, I punched one side with my Fiskars Lace Border punch (isn't it gorgeous?!) and attached it to the designer paper (Fancypants Pure #823). I tied some ric-rac ribbon around it and mounted it onto the card base with 1mm mounts. Ginger was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black onto 140lb Watercolour paper and coloured with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I glued 2 gold gems in her hair and added a little bit of gold Kindyglitz to her handbag (can't see in the photo, but it IS there!) I attached Ginger to brown-burgundy cs, then mustard cs, punching corners of each layer with my Carl CP-6 Corner punch; then I mounted the image with 2mm mounts. The sentiment is by Grant: 'Celebrate' clear stamp set and was stamped onto Watercolour paper with mix of Versacolor Burgundy + Paprika pigment ink (to match the cs), then embossed with clear embossing powder. I glued a gold gem to the flower centre, inked the edges, then ran the brown-burgundy oval cardstock thru the Textile embossing folder before attaching to the sentiment, and lastly, mounted the sentiment onto a scalloped oval of mustard cardstock. The ovals were diecut with my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder Small Classic & Small Scalloped Classic Ovals, then attached to the card base with 2mm mounts. Using a scrap of mustard cardstock, I diecut the corner with my Cuttlebug Vintage Die (from the set of 4) & attached it to the card base with 1mm mounts. I glued 3 gold gems to the die corner - one teardrop gem in the top rh corner; the other 2 circle gems to the ends (peer closely at the photo and all will be revealed!!). I love the lacey look of the Textile embossing folder and thought it would be perfect for a Wedding card. The heart image is by: Victoria's Secret Floral Heart VG-26 and was stamped twice onto white cardstock with Artnic silver pigment ink and embossed with silver embossing powder, then cut out and mounted - 1 with 1mm mounts, the 2nd with 2mm mounts to give some dimension. The gorgeous heart-shaped buckle (by Bella) and silver sheer ribbon (by Celebrate - comes on a roll) are from Spotlight. The pearl heart is by Artwrap & came from a $2 shop and was glued on with Pritt glue. The silver paper between the layers of white cardstock is called: Florentine paper and already comes all crinkled. It's very thin and a bit difficult to work with, but it seemed the perfect choice for this card. I didn't even have a Wedding sentiment to put on the card! But I think it looks OK without it. Thanks for having a peek at my card! Oh well - better late than never!! Here is the link to the Sketch: http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/...y-week-93.html I really love this Sketch, and I know I will definitely use it again. This is a Thank-You card for my Aunty who has enriched my life more than words can say. This cute little mouse is by Great Impressions #G46 (the stamp has no title; just a number) and was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with a mix of Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, and Acrylic paints. I added Crystal Lacquer and Kindyglitz Crystalina to the heart bubbles, the tiny little bubbles and the bubble blower to make them look more 3-dimensional. The pink cardstock underneath the main image was embossed with my Cuttlebug and my Swiss dots embossing folder. The sentiment is by Elzybells Art Stamps: 'Just for you' 03-162 and was stamped with Colorbox Warm Red chalk ink and I added Kindyglitz to the surrounding stars etc, and diecut it with my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder Small Classic Oval Nestabilities and Small Scalloped Oval Nesties. I ran the Warm Red chalk ink around the edge of the sentiment. Each card layer was popped up on mounts, as well as the punched hearts (Carl CP-1 Heart punch) on the far RHS. These hearts also have Kindyglitz on them but trust me: it doesn't look anywhere near as gaudy IRL ;) Glittery things are so hard to photograph and there's not much between looking gaudy or non-existant!! It's hard to see from the photo, but the ribbon has little dots all over it. The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy, and I sewed on the heart charm with matching pink sewing thread. I added the Cuttlebug Vintage Diecut (from the CB Vintage Die set of 4) to the LHS of the image just to "fill in" the white space on this part of the image - it looked kinda bare. The designer paper is by Basic Grey: Bittersweet Mousse. The bird is called: 'Flourished Bird on a Branch' #97981-K by Inkadinkado. First I inked up the leaves with Versacolor bamboo pigment ink (lighter green) then added the darker Versacolor pinecone green pigment ink on top and then blended the two with a bit more bamboo ink. Then I inked up the bird with Artnic Indigo blue pigment ink and added a little bit of Versacolor Black pigment to add a little bit of shading (eg: underneath the tummy) and blended the two inks together with a bit more Indigo blue ink. Being pigment ink, it stays wet for ages so I had plenty of time to blend, stamp and emboss the image with clear embossing powder. I added a tiny, white dot of paint for the eye to bring the bird to life. The sentiment is by Elzybells Art Stamps: 'For you' from the 20-015-CC Spring Cubes Clear stamp set (which includes sentiments) & was stamped with Artnic Indigo pigment ink be but I didn't emboss the sentiment as it would have lost some clarity being such a small sentiment. I drew a fine line of grey with my Zig Platinum marker around the bird and some of the shadows on the stems and leaves. I punched the corners of the white cardstock with one-quarter of my Carl CP-1 circle punch because I don't have a Ticket punch (yet!), and then added the 2 sheer ribbons BEFORE I matted the white cs onto the navy blue cs. Note the ribbons were made in 2 separate elements: glued around the cs, then a separate piece knotted on top and attached with a glue dot. I added Fray Stop to the edges of the ribbon due to Organza ribbon fraying terribly - or maybe 'cos I just HAVE to keep fiddling with it to get it to look right!! The main panel is popped up on 1mm mounts and I added olive green rhinestones (Kaiserscrapbook SB709) to each corner. The dp is by Melissa Frances: Sherelle Item #PA063. I've never used diagonal striped designer paper on a card before but after seeing a few cards with it, I was inspired to try and now I will definitely use this type of dp again. After attaching the dp to the nut brown cardstock, I ran a scrap of blue cs thru the Cuttlebug using the Argyle embossing folder and sanded it lightly to enhance it's embossing effect, then attached this to a piece of nut brown cs, and tied the ribbon around it before attaching it to the dp with 1mm mounts. This gorgeous, happy dog is by Penny Black: Margaret Sherry Collection - "Good Boy" 1699J and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Gamsol and Prismacolor pencils. The image was attached to the same colour blue and brown cs and popped up on 1mm mounts. I left the LH corner of the image free of adhesive so I could easily attach the red bone paper-clip. I popped a couple of glue dots behind it so the clip doesn't move. Isn't that clip the cutest? It's by Creative Impressions.com. The sentiment is by: 'Grant' from the Birthday Clear stamp set and was stamped with Versacolor Baby Blue pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder, then diecut with Spellbinders Labels Trio. I ran the same ink around the sentiment's edge before I attached it to the blue and brown cs, and punched the corners with my Carl Craft corner punch as I went along. I then attached the sentiment to the dp (Kaisercraft Lone Ranger P128 Shotgun) with 1mm mounts. Lastly, I added the paw pad brads which are by Paper Studio. Thanks for having a peek at my card! The first one is from Sharon Johnson's 'No Time to Stamp?' blog - Stamp Simply #101 - Let's Polka - http://notimetostamp.blogs.splitcoas...01-lets-polka/ - where Sharon wants to see LOTS of dots - the more, the merrier! And the second challenge is for Sketch Saturday's Sketch Challenge #65 - http://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2...nsored-by.html The dog is by Penny Black: "Where's Dinner?" 1705J and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto 210gsm watercolour paper and was coloured with Gamsol, Prismacolor pencils and Acrylic paints. I added a little bit of Kindyglitz Crystalina to the candle and the candlelight (hard to see in the photo). The top and bottom strips of Core'dinations raw sienna cardstock were embossed with my Cuttlebug & and the small dots embossing folder from the 'Just my Type' set, and I sanded the dots lightly to highlight them. The black top and bottom borders were punched with my Fiskars Threading Water border punch. The sentiment is by Kaszazz: "Postage Mark Birthday" D17K & was stamped with Versacolor Topaz pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then punched the sentiment with my Kaszazz 43mm circle punch, and diecut the larger circles with my Cuttlebug and Spellbinders large circle and large scalloped circle nestabilities. I paper pierced around the scallops to add some MORE dots (again hard to see in photo). Both the image and sentiment were popped up on mounts. I thought having a polka dot ribbon looked to be too much, so after much deliberation I settled for a simple black satin ribbon but with the sheer brown polka dot brown ribbon tied thru, which also follows the Sketch Saturday's requirement of 3 embellishments in the bottom LH corner (if you count the brad as well as the 2 ribbons). The designer paper is by Rusty Pickle - 'Cap'n Jack' Black Pearl RP718. Hope you enjoyed having a peek at my card! Eek - panic! So here's what I came up with: The 'Popcorn the Bear' image is from a set by Crafter's Companion called: "Smile" and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured with Gamsol and Prismacolor pencils plus acrylic paints. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the highlights on the balloons and the bear's cheeks. The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by Wendy Irving Expressions J6412.02. You can't see in the photo, but I added a line with my Scor-Pal underneath the bear then attached a piece of pink cardstock which was punched with my EK Success Arrows border punch. The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements. Thanks for having a peek at my card! You've just made my day! I added Polar White Flower Soft using Aleen's Tacky glue underneath the robin & reindeer to look like snow - I love this stuff. The heat-embossable Acetate was stamped repeatedly with the sentiment using Elybells inky-dinks Whipped Cream Hybrid (white) ink and then I used a sea-sponge to sponge around the edges, and because I was short of time, I heat-set the ink. The ribbon is called Holiday Twisted Rope - isn't it just gorgeous?!! The white and red cardstock was diecut with my Cuttlebug using the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels One. Note that the red cardstock was attached to the acetate on the inside of the card to hide the double-sided tape between the image and the red cardstock. I did the inside of the card in similar fashion. Makes for a nice, neat finish Thanks for having a peek at my card! I added a teensy bit of Kindyglitz Crystalina to the candle and the glow - just a hint of sparkle. The sentiment is by Grant: "Birthday" clear stamp set and was stamped with Stazon Jet Black and I added a little bit of Kindyglitz Red on top of the "i" in "Wish". I did a ScorPal line both above and below the image. The red & blue border was made by punching separate pieces of red & blue cardstock with my Fiskars Scallop border punch and then gluing them together but with the patterns staggered (if that makes sense) - I kinda like the effect. This one is going to my 6 YO nephew. This is also for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog & this week's challenge is to use at least 1 punch on your card - whether border, shapes etc. See this link for the deets: http://crazy4challenges.blogspot.com...-13-punch.html I used my Fiskars Threading Water border punch for the bottom teal green border. I designed the card around this gorgeous ribbon which I've had in my stash for awhile - I love it SO much that I almost couldn't use it - lol!! I really love the brown & teal green colours together. The dinosaur is from a clear stamp set by My Favorite Things called 'Dino-Mite' and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with Gamsol, Prismacolor pencils and Acrylic paints. I stamped the dino a 2nd time and cut out the arm and popped it on top of the 1st image with 1mm mounts to give the image a bit of dimension. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the present and the party hat. The sentiment is from a Crafter's Companion 'Popcorn the Bear' Bunches of Love set & it fitted perfectly inside the box like it was meant to be there! Don't you love it when that happens!! The main panel was diecut with my Cuttlebug using the Large Square and Large Scalloped Square Nestabilities. I popped the main panel up on 1mm mounts. The embossed background on the brown cardstock was made using my Cuttlebug with the Spots and Dots embossing folder - I LOVE this folder for boy cards. The ribbon was made in 2 separate elements. There is a Scor-Pal line both above & below the ribbon and also above the teal green bottom border (bit hard to see that one, but trust me, it IS there). I added a strip of brown cardstock underneath the holes in this border so that it is a direct contrast to the ribbon (if that makes sense). Thanks for having a peek at my non-Christmas card!! The white background was embossed with my Sizzix Textured Impressions Dots & Flowers embossing folder set using my Cuttlebug machine. The teddy is by Darcies: N4844, and was stamped onto Elzybells smooth white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured with a mix of Gamsol, Prismacolor pencils and acrylic paints. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the teddy's wings, hat and the heart she is holding as well as the heart-shaped cheeks. The image was crying out to be paper-tole'd so I stamped the image again and cut out the heart and the paws and layered them with 1mm and 2mm mounts respectively. I glued on some pink heart gems to the feelers. The sentiment is by Elzybells Art Stamps: 'Just for You' # 03-162, and was stamped with Versacolor Opera Pink pigment ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I added more Kindyglitz to the stars etc around the sentiment. The sentiment was also popped up on 1mm mounts. It is a CASE of Sue Nelson's card (aka Susie B) here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...?&cat=9069 with a few of my own little changes. I adore Sue's layout and I know I will use this layout again and again. Thanks Sue for the inspiration!! The card is pretty much self-explanatory. The bear (Forever Friends 'New Arrival') was stamped onto Elzybells smooth white cs with Memento Tuxedo black ink and was coloured with Gamsol, Prismas and Acrylic paints. I added Kindyglitz Crystalina to the heart on the tag. Seeing as I had the star theme going, I tried to find my sentiment: A star is born, but it is lost on my desk somewhere!! So, I settled for the Elzybells sentiment (from Everyday Greetings 20-006 Clear stamp sentiments set) instead which I stamped with Stazon Jet blackink. The circles were diecut with my Cuttlebug using my Spellbinder Nestabilities (Large Circle & Large Scalloped Circle). I used my Cuttlebug Stars embossing folder for the background + the small dots embossing folder (from the Just my Type set). I used my Martha Stewart Doily Lace edge punch for the blue cardstock. Don't you just LOVE this punch!! :-) The 1" wide sheer ribbon was made in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy before attaching with a glue dot.
